Privacy notice
Lekki Peculiar School handles your personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and Section 5 of the Staff Handbook, which sets out how we keep personnel records. This page explains how the Staff Portal applies that policy. If anything here differs from the Handbook, the Handbook takes precedence.
What the portal holds about you
Your name, school email, work phone, arm, role and photo; your training completions, certificates and session attendance; your Individual Development Plan; and your digital band. We do not hold payroll, pension or tax information here.
Who can see it
You can see your own record. Your Head of Arm can see the development records of staff in their arm only. The Head of Administration and the Director can see personnel records for the whole school. Colleagues see only your directory card, and you can hide your photo and phone number from them in your settings.
Safeguarding reports
A safeguarding concern you submit can be read by the Designated Safeguarding Lead, the Deputy, and the Director, and by nobody else. Its contents are encrypted, every time it is opened is recorded, and it is kept for at least seven years.
Your rights
You can download everything the portal holds about you, at any time, from My Development. To correct or question your record, speak to the Head of Administration.
